I have only been in the hobby for a year or so, and have spent more time working on techniques for building and have yet to work on a good paint job.

I noticed the consistency of this Tamiya stuff is very creamy vs. what I'm used to I've used Novus 1 clean and shine and Novus 2 fine scratch remover.

I am considering using Tamiya polishing compound and wondering if it leaves a residue that would cause problems with then putting on Tamiya clear coat. The only useful info I have on the Tamiya polishing compound is that you can wash off excess compound with water.

2009年6月9日 · Nope, Tamiya polishing compound will not take care of the issues by themselves, only make them shiny. To take care of the issues you talk about you need to get some fine sand paper(I suggest you get some micromesh) in multiple grades and progressively sand it down to level and then you can polish it out with the fine compound.
