2004年12月5日 · Wall tents have multiple guy ropes on all sides that are designed to prevent ant sway even in strong winds. Free standing tents like Springbar and nearly everything other than a wall tent is designed to give in high winds. A stove pipe through a tent wall would be dangerous if the tent was swaying back and forth.

2011年11月3日 · Springbar/Kodiak tents get their stability and strength from all those stakes around the tent. When I owned mine, I used I believe 16-18" stakes in sand. Your idea of corkscrew should work, but you'll need to use more than the 4 corners. In rocky terrain, I loved my SnowPeak stakes. Virtually indestructible! Not cheap but worth it IMHO. Good luck!

2020年5月16日 · Here's my Springbar Traveler 5 set-up for a first-time dry run. I'm 68 years old and the set-up was a workout, but very doable for one person. As many say, driving in 17 tent pegs was the most work, but it wasn't that bad.

Might have been a little expensive originally but stands up to the tests of time. Wouldnt trade it for any other tent. 77 fj-40 weber, DUI, 2" body lift, 34" LTB's.

2016年3月11日 · The Springbar/Kodiak tents are nice and look like a great hunting style tent but it does seem like a more time consuming and involved setup process. We tend to move campsites day to day and not stay in one area too long so I'm not sure I'd want to deal with packing that up/down everyday.

2020年5月16日 · Springbar tents seem to have light colored tops. Might be for lighting. There are enough attach points that a dark sheet could be attached. The bison color is darker. Springbar makes tents in USA and overseas. Kodiak is a copy made overseas. I chose Springbar made in USA and paid more. I did get a veteran discount.

2003年3月27日 · I was looking at the Springbar tents. I'm sure they're sturdy but these weight 50-60 lbs or even more. They probably also take up a big chunk of your cargo area. Seems that it sure wouldn't encourage setting up camp too far from the car. Something like a Springbar seems like it would make sense if you where staying in one location for weeks on end.
