It would also follow that an 8" SDR 26 pvc pipe, per say ASTM D2241, with a slightly different exterior diameter of 8.625 in. would have a wall thickness of 8.625/26=0.332 in.

2006年6月14日 · A word to the wise: If you use ASTM D-2241 SDR 26 for your gravity application, make sure your plans clearly call it out as ASTM D-2241 pressure pipe, check the product submittal carefully, and, perhaps most importantly, make sure your constuction observer checks the actual pipe in the field to the approved submittal.

We have found that using the SDR 26 fittings to be more practical even if you use SDR 35 pipe as the fittings are more durable and break less often. I have found that it is more common to specify PVC SDR 26 pipe instead of SDR 35 for gravity sanitary sewers.
