I guess it depends on your body chemistry and how it reacts when the medicine, in essence, shuts off the acid in your stomach that helps to digest food. I was on Weight Watchers, walking/running 5 miles a day 6 days a week before Nexium.

Prilosec is not as strong as Nexium though. I was taking nexium but switch to Prevacid, as it works better for me

网页2008年8月10日 · That is what I'd do. You might have a rough couple of days, but you can do it. You could stock up on Gaviscon and use that along with the Nexium, if necessary. I take 40mg and think it's plenty. It interferes with iron absorption and has other side effects when taken for a long period of time.

网页2007年3月27日 · Yes, I have indigestion, acid reflux and gastritis since I had my GB removed over 2 years ago. I had it before but it seems to have gotten worse since. I have taken almost every PPI on the market. I am now just sticking to Aciphex--it seems to have the least side effects. I found Nexium to be the worst!

When I called the Nexium 800 number a while ago, the lady who I talked to said they "could not recommend taking it a bed time, only an hour before any meal of my choice" and I couldn't really get her to answer why it was important to take it that way.

I read on-line that in rare cases Nexium can cause muscle cramping, spasming, joint paining, and swelling. Does anyone have any information on this. It is excrutiating. I stopped the Nexium just in case this is the cause.
