2023年10月19日 · So I used to game at 1080p, then I switched to 1440p , huge difference in clarity for me but I have seen some friends 4K monitors and setups and sure it looks great but unless you are okay with being on the bleeding edge of top of the line hardware all the time I think the performance hit just isn’t worth it over 1440p when honestly 1440p looks great

2022年12月21日 · I have Rtx 4090,cpu i9 13900k, samsung G8 4k 240hz monitor and on high settings at 4k I get average 270fps. Make sure you settings are right. This on MW2. Ddr5 64gb 5200,samsung ssd. Every game I play is between 200 fps to 1,000 fps.

2020年9月15日 · If I can get a better refresh rate in the my preferred resolution then great but resolution matters first for me and if anything i’ll gauge if the increased refresh rate is worth the cost. People who harp on 4k and don’t understand anyone else’s use case are just narrow sighted imo. buildapc is for building PCs, not gaming machines.

2021年1月1日 · Having high FPS is very much more worth it than high resolution imo. For most people who use pc to game, I think high fps 1080p is still perfect. Also if you do decide to buy a 1440p/4k, if you can, I highly suggest buying a monitor that can go 160hz+. 144hz -> 165hz is actually quite noticeable and I can't live without it.

It absolutely is worth it at 32" for singe player games. You can see so much detail with the sharp textures and you don't need strong AA as you would on lower resolutions. (so no shitty TSAA). I'd jump 1440p for 4K singleplayer gaming any-day as I already have a secondary 1080p 240hz monitor for my esports stuff. That being said.

2024年1月12日 · Depends on what QLED tv you get. I think it's worth it if you get a QLED with local dimming. Even better if it's mini led. I have a TCL Q7 and it's a pretty good TV for the price. Has good black levels thanks to the local dimming. I got the 65" version for less than $700

But setting a 4K panel to 1440p is not the same as that still physically has 4K pixels. Wth larger screens we tend to sit further back where low resolution is less noticeable. But at normal viewing distances, a 27" monitor at 1080p will look pixelated and that's already 81 PPI.
