I've used the following hops in saisons in the past: amarillo, centennial, citra, saphir, pacific jade, pacific gem, pacifica, motueka, bobek, crystal, sovereign, east kent goldings, willamette, and belma.

2009年10月23日 · I've got a bunch of Willamette Hops left over from my Fat Tire clone brewing days and don't know what to do with them. Any ideas? I'll be honest, I'm pretty much an APA, IPA sort of guy with some European Vienna Lagers and Kolsch thrown into the mix. Maybe an ALT and a O'fest here and there. Don't really want to toss them since I have almost a lb.

The hops are from 2017, vacuum sealed and frozen whole hops. I would like to use at least some of the hops, but I know old hops have a tendency to taste like cheese though.

Add 3-4 ounces of hops at flameout to one batch, and in the other add the same amount of the same hops at 5 minute intervals starting with about 20 minutes to go in the boil. Use a bittering addition of something smooth like Magnum to keep the IBU's the same between beers.

My original plan for both the Doppelbock and the Bock was to use a 60 minute addition of Brewers' Gold and leave it at that. Browsing through various recipes, it seems that most are using hallertau, perle, and/or tettnang, sometimes with a 10 or 15 minute addition.

Which hops to use with a Porter - Homebrew Talk
2008年10月24日 · I would use the sterling and a fair amount of specialty grains for bitterness. My favorite hops for porters are the cheaper UK varieties such as challenger, target and brambling cross. US substitutes that work well are US Perle, Northern Brewer, Willamette and US Fuggles. UK Fuggles and EKG are excellent of course, but generally wasted on a porter.

2011年12月15日 · I added a few new varieties, including some new Australian / NZ varieties. New hops on the list include: Helga, Stella, and Summer. Summer hops sound particularly interesting to me, and I'll probably do a single-hop something later this year. I'm also slowly adding Beta Acids and Cohumulone info to the hop list.
