2012年5月10日 · Initially the advertised diagonal measurement of CRT sets was edge to edge measurement of the tube. Sometime in the late 80s or so the FTC said they could only advertise visible screen diagonal in the US. Canada had no such rule so the size on the box would say 32" US, 34" Canada for example.

77" vs 83" - what's the big deal...? - AVS Forum
2021年3月16日 · Buying at MSRP, the 77" is a much better deal than the 83", but in a few months, I suspect the 83" will retail for more below MSRP than the 77". There really isn't that much of a difference between a 77" and 83" - as the picture below shows. It is just 5" wider and 3" taller. And costs thousands of dollars more.

Yes, an 85” LED would feel larger, it’s true... but at 8.5 feet the 77a80j will be awesome, and the picture quality is one of the best in the world right now. Look at the a80j owner’s thread. 2016年5月14日 · For the OP's question of "How big does it look", my formula calculates that the actual perceived size of 70 inch vs. 75 inch changes between about 5.9% and a maximum at 6.6% depending on seating position when viewed from a distance of 12'. This figure is mathematically exact within the normal errors of vision.

2022年10月24日 · If we could get a tv the same size as the current picture, that would be perfect, but it turns out that they don't make tvs in 10:7 aspect ratios 😂. So the 50" would be 2" wider (than the current picture) on each side and the 55" would be 4" wider on each side.
