2015年8月18日 · Jose- yes it is authentic-- It is a cuchilla style gaucho knife-The knife style and the sheath are period correct. Boker exported these heavily to Argentina , especially after WWII. The cuchilla is a utilitarian type of knife. Specifically, it is a big butcher's knife with a curved edge and a straight back.

If coupled with a BOKER/USA tang stamp, the shield below indicates a US Boker manufactured before 1975. Careful though - many old Solingen made knives also have this shield!
