2024年2月13日 · So about a week ago I bought and installed a M.2 Seagate SSD into my PS5. One of the ones with the PS5 branding so it's clearly supposed to be good for it. Of course, the box says it has the heatsink as well. But last night while playing Persona 3 Reload of all things, my PS5 shut down and wouldn't turn back on for a few minutes.

The setup will undoubtedly use smaller ReRAM drive [even this 128GB is insane enough, they could gimp it to work at high speed and it will still be a monster] and mass "cold storage" drive with cheaper SSD/HDD.

Was getting close to filling the internal SSD, so installed a M2 into my PS5 this week, got a pretty good deal on a Crucial P5 Plus 1TB for under £120 (paying instalments at £22 for 4 months (paid £30 upfront)). Had to get a Heatsink with it, so that was about £6.

I said Yes, but after the save files were transferred, the process seemed to finish up rather than get to those games, and now 400GB of my SSD is stuck under "Other" storage.
