Sep 18, 2024. #2. I don't remember what grit sandpaper...but it's very fine. I use it wet. It's a "by feel" thing,too much sanding and you start removing paint. Usually takes several hours to do a Cub hood. Then to keep the wet look I use boiled linseed oil.

2009年5月1日 · I thought maybe the starter was pulling all the power, so we pulled the starter and stripped it down. This starter was so old, I was suprised it even could turn the engine. I tested the resistor and it was dead. A quick trip to our local tractor parts store and grabbed a new starter and balis resister. Installed them and turned it over.

what is the absolute best way to degrease an old tractor??
2013年12月13日 · Purple Power is a GREAT degreaser. Put it in a small garden sprayer and apply it when the tractor is warm (engine hot, sitting out in sun, etc.). It does wonders on dirty tires too! I only let it sit no more than 10 minutes. Easy Off (Professional, yellow can) Oven Cleaner does wonders too!

Theres 2 guys in the local store that if I see them behind the counter, Ill wait on one of them, but if they arent there, I leave most of the time. Will they old tractor parts, not likely unless its a battery or a seal or bearing they can cross to something modern.

Wind whipping tears the grommets out in short order, and if the tarp is folded over any kind of edge, it wears right through.
