A gastro dr I know said taking miralax everyday is fine. i take 17 grams everyday and 2 fiber tablets since surgery. i will be 4 weeks post op wednesday. i have a stent in kidney so i cannot strain at all so this combo is safe and eorks for me. plus miralax easiest taste wise to take.

Jan 18, 2016 · The other thing you should be aware of is that not everyone needs GasX and/or stool softeners immediately after surgery. I was fine for the first three days - and then on the fourth day, I got diarrhea! So it's a good thing I *wasn't* taking anything. I didn't need to deal with things starting to get a bit too firm until 3-4 weeks after surgery.
