2010年6月6日 · Tops puukko is a nice knife. When compared to the 200 the Tanimboca has a better handle and better balance in my opinion. The Benchmade has better steel. That said 1095 will do everything you need - I don't know how 3V is practically better in terms of daily use. 3v stays sharp significantly longer.

2019年4月19日 · The Benchmade puukko is a similar thickness, but with a much higher grind. Which makes me happy. That said, while it came nice and sharp like Benchmades always seem to, I thought the secondary grind kinda sucked and tweaked it with sandpaper. Its much better now and takes a very fine edge.

A heavier, thicker blade makes it even easier. A strong detent is just not one of the features of the Axis lock.

Bought my first one (Ares 730S) when I compared head to head against a Sebenza and liked the (new at the time) Axis lock better. Also a 705S, a few other folders and a 162 that my BIL now carries as his main bushcraft knife.

All nice looking knives but the price just doesn’t seem to reflect the product to me. I’ve had a few Benchmade in the past and they were decent knives but not $180-$300+ decent they are charging for them now.
