2020年10月5日 · The AHRA race director was there because they were having a special Mod verses Top winners race & he was presenting the trophy to the winner. Trophy looks like a NHRA Walley trophy & I got it! Top was on the Box & I was foot braking . He was on a 5.22 & I was on a 6.64. I was .003 on the tree & my worst short time 1.43 .

A buddy gave me a book "How fast were they?" that lists road test times and NHRA and AHRA national event winners (driver and car names) from back in the day up to 1974. It's pretty complete and I did not see a 67 GTX listed as winning a natitional event back in 1971 but that's not to say that car is not a record holder.
