Nearly 150,000 John Deere vehicles that were sold nationwide are subject to a recall due to faulty brakes that can create a potential crash hazard, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is cautioning.

MOLINE, Ill. — John Deere has recalled three models of compact utility tractors due to a potential crash hazard. The recall, which was issued Thursday, covers models 1023E, 1025R and 2025R. John Deere said it has received four reports of brake linkages failing and causing a crash. One person was hospitalized and two were injured as a result.
