White, a 2024 free agent signing, talked about being a team leader and upgrading Philadelphia’s linebacker position. White missed the season opener with a foot injury, and his status for Week 2 is uncertain. It won’t matter, but Vic Fangio clarified that Dean is his starter.

The Eagles survived a lot of things in Week 1 on their way to a 34-29 victory over the Green Bay Packers. The list, of course, includes Jalen Hurts’ bad decisions on two interceptions. One led to a Green Bay field goal and the other prevented the Eagles from kicking a field goal.
