Ever since the debut of the original Pro V1 at the Invensys Classic in October 2000, Titleist has traditionally used the Las Vegas stop on the PGA Tour to reveal its latest iteration of the most-played ball on tour to its tour staff.

The Pro V1 was introduced in October 2000 at the PGA Tour’s Invensys Classic in Las Vegas, but Titleist had been developing the ball for about five years, trying to blend the short-game spin and control of wound balata-covered balls with the distance of two-piece, solid-core balls.

Titleist is introducing the 2025 version of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls this week at the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas, and it’s a special occasion. This is the 25th year since Titleist unveiled a golf ball that reshaped the professional game.
