It also turned out the E-Type Zero, the electric re-imagined version of the E-Type, which the U.K.’s Prince William used at his wedding, and cost around $470,000. And, in 2021, Jaguar Classis offered a Reborn E-Type, where they restored E-Types, rather than building them from scratch, and charged around $410,000 for them.

One of the most instantly-recognisable sports car designs of all time is making a one-off comeback. Jaguar has just lifted the covers off two exclusive E-Type Commemorative cars, back to mark the 50th anniversary since production of the vehicles ended.

Jaguar will soon pare down its range to a single model, the F-Pace, and its next-generation cars are a few years away from hitting showrooms. Instead of showing us what’s next, the firm took a trip to the heritage well and came back with a pair of E-Type roadsters restored with an eye on subtle luxury.

And in case you were worried about modern amenities, both E-Type builds feature a Jaguar Classic Bluetooth radio as well as a heated windscreen. All told, Jaguar Classic estimates it took over 2000 hours to build up each of these special editions. We sure hope they get some proper road time in the coming years.
