As if four new Kindles weren’t enough for the Amazon devices team to unveil this week, a new Fire TV Stick has landed. It’s twofold in that we have a new streaming stick from Amazon, but it also streamlines the lineup a bit.

The latest Amazon streaming device brings a new entry-level Fire TV Stick to the lineup but also replaces the Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite with a price of $34.99 /£39.99 / AU$69. It's currently available to order now on Amazon .

Amazon has launched a new version of its Fire TV Stick for HD TV viewers. It's currently US-only but it'll be coming to the UK and Australia too.

The $99.99 Amazon Fire HD 8, refreshed for 2024, functions about as well as you should expect for the price. It provides enough power to run basic streaming apps and games and has enough battery life to get through a day.

Despite featuring the same hardware, the updated Fire TV Stick HD only costs $35 — $5 cheaper than the Fire TV Stick (3rd gen). This launch could put the $30 Fire TV Stick Lite in a tough spot, as the Fire TV Stick HD costs just a fraction more.
