There’s a new No. 1 team in college football this week after Texas lost its first game of the season in an SEC clash against Georgia, and with other consequential results involving ranked teams, there’s some notable change in the AP top 25 rankings heading into Week 9.

Oregon is the new No. 1 team in this week’s AP Poll. The Ducks are only two weeks removed from a top-five win over Ohio State and avoided a trap game against Purdue last week. With last week's top-ranked team falling — Georgia knocked off Texas, 30-15 — Oregon moves up one spot as the highest-ranked undefeated team.
