Waverly's not an expensive brand, but those sheets were so incredibly soft and wafty. I got a set for my parents and one for myself. The 400 tc meant they were wonderful for a few years and eventually fell apart - still worth it.

I'm a fan of higher thread count 100% cotton sheets. You can find them at tjmaxx, ross, etc. The designer name doesn't matter, but 600 or higher thread count will be good quality.

Lots of bedding goes through there and you can find some high quality stuff for cheeeeeaaaaapppp. I love Big Lots for a lotttt of things.
